Domestic Gas Installer – Residential Heating Systems

About the role

As a Domestic Gas Installer you will fit and upgrade modern heating systems in residential properties across Swindon and the surrounding area. The role offers a steady pipeline of work on a well‑managed local patch and a clear pathway into renewable technologies such as heat pumps.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission domestic gas boilers and central heating systems.
• Carry out heating upgrades, including system conversions and efficiency improvements.
• Perform gas safety checks and complete commissioning documentation to current regulations.
• Advise residents on system operation and provide a professional, reliable service.
• Maintain accurate digital or written job records in line with compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Current domestic ACS qualifications, including core certifications and CKR1.
• Proven experience in boiler installation and central heating system upgrades.
• Strong understanding of domestic gas safety standards and best practice.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Detail‑oriented approach to commissioning records and compliance documentation.
