Drafter – CAD Design Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Drafter to join our team in Longbenton, Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves turning concepts into detailed technical drawings using CAD software, supporting engineers and architects on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to verify design accuracy.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback and project changes.
• Maintain organized documentation and project records.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and drafting trends.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn.
• Previous drafting experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £15 per hour (£29,250 per annum).
• Flexible start and finish times within core hours (7 am‑5 pm).
• Six‑month minimum contract with the possibility to extend.
