Drama Teacher – Inspiring Performing Arts

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our vibrant Performing Arts Department. The role involves delivering engaging drama lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with the possibility of teaching A‑level Drama depending on experience. You will help students develop performance skills, creativity and confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages self‑expression.
- Prepare students for performances, examinations and assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s performing‑arts provision.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as school productions, drama clubs and workshops.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Drama, Performing Arts or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Passion for the performing arts and ability to inspire students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
