Driver Cleaner

About the role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a Driver Cleaner to support a leading social housing contractor across Manchester on a temporary contract. The role combines driving a company vehicle with cleaning duties in residential and communal areas, requiring a reliable individual with cleaning experience and a full UK driving licence.

Key responsibilities

• Clean communal areas within residential apartment blocks and housing schemes.
• Carry out internal and external cleaning duties, including stairwells, entrances, corridors, lifts and bin stores.
• Remove litter and fly‑tipped waste from communal spaces.
• Support void property cleans before new tenants move in.
• Drive a company vehicle between various sites across Manchester.
• Report maintenance issues, health and safety concerns, or anti‑social behaviour.
• Ensure all work meets high standards and complies with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Previous cleaning experience within social housing, facilities management or commercial environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
