Driver & General Assistant – Kitchen Refurbishment

About the role

Join a leading kitchen makeover company as a Driver & General Assistant, supporting showroom operations and on‑site kitchen refurbishments across the Thatcham/Newbury area. You will be responsible for safely transporting stock, assisting with installations, and maintaining a tidy work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload vans, delivering stock to customer sites and collecting returns.
• Assist with showroom duties such as stock takes, tidying the stock room and showroom.
• Perform "odd jobs" including adjusting kitchen doors, fitting hinges and handles.
• Transport materials and equipment to customer locations and collect supplies from wholesalers.
• Help fitters with heavy lifting, worktop placement, and post‑fit clean‑up.
• Dispose of waste generated from kitchen installations.

Required profile

• Valid full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Confidence driving a long‑wheel‑base van.
• Physically capable of handling heavy items and manual tasks.
• Handy with a screwdriver and basic hand tools.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work Monday‑Friday, 8am‑4pm.
