Driver / Operative – Commercial Waste Collection

About the role

Join Veolia’s growing fleet in East London and play a vital part in collecting and transporting commercial waste. You will work a 48‑hour week, starting early mornings and delivering essential services to local businesses while supporting the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive to scheduled collection points and empty multiple commercial waste containers.
• Enter all collection data into the onboard system and submit daily paperwork.
• Perform daily vehicle checks according to the driver operator handbook.
• Comply with all traffic laws, load weight regulations, and health‑safety standards.
• Keep the carriageway clean and promptly clean any spillages.

Required profile

• Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Current Digi/Tachograph card.
• Desirable: previous waste‑management experience and familiarity with RORO and skip operations.
