Driver Trainer – Transport Operations

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking a Driver Trainer to join its Greenford site supporting the Waitrose customer. You will lead the training and coaching of van drivers, helping to raise safety, compliance and performance across a fast‑paced transport operation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted driver training based on collision trends, telematics insights or referrals from Driver Assessors and site leadership.
• Coach drivers using a supportive, professional approach that builds skill, accountability and confidence.
• Develop and implement new training syllabuses, materials and initiatives focused on safety, technical competence and efficiency.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, supporting leaders to raise driving standards across the operation.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (Category B) with no more than six penalty points.
• Proven experience delivering driver training within a live transport operation.
• Commitment to maintaining professional competence through continued professional development (CPD).
• Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualification is advantageous.
