Drivers Mate – Delivery Assistant

About the role
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Drivers Mate to join our client’s delivery team in Stockport. You will support the driver in unloading bulky items and ensuring safe, timely deliveries to vulnerable and sensitive customers while providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods.
- Deliver items to customers, handling bulky or delicate parcels.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure proper use of safety equipment.
- Interact courteously with customers, addressing any delivery queries.
- Work Monday‑Friday from 06:00 am until the job is completed.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a delivery or logistics support role.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy items.
- Must own or be willing to wear safety boots and hi‑vis clothing.

- Hourly rate of £12.71, paid weekly.
