DSE Assessor – Health & Safety (Temp/Permanent)

About the role

The DSE Assessor will support government clients in ensuring the safe use of Display Screen Equipment (DSE) across multiple sites. Working from our London office, you will manage DSE assessments, provide ergonomic advice and help meet legal health‑and‑safety obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer online DSE assessments for office and remote workers using the client’s Awaken system.
• Review self‑assessment data, flag equipment needs and conduct face‑to‑face or Teams‑based assessments.
• Deliver clear, actionable reports with recommendations on workstation set‑up, posture and micro‑movement breaks.
• Advise on current best practice and legislative changes related to DSE use.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, operational management teams and HSEQ leads.

Required profile

• Evidence of a completed BPSS report before start.
• NEBOSH General Certificate and DSE Risk Assessor certification.
• Strong understanding of ergonomic principles and DSE best practice.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills without direct line management.
• Customer‑service mindset with patience and confidence when dealing with civil servants.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IT tools and remote collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
• Ability to conduct remote ergonomic assessments.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £21‑£21.50.
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 9‑5.
• Hybrid working – office‑based with remote assessment capability.
• 13‑week fixed‑term contract with potential for permanent placement.
