About the role
GLL is seeking an enthusiastic Duty Manager to lead daily operations at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre in Camden. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring the facility runs smoothly and delivers a welcoming experience.
Key responsibilities
- Open and prepare the centre each day, including pool and gym areas.
- Supervise on‑shift staff, allocate tasks and manage attendance.
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve issues and promote facility usage.
- Maintain safety standards, conduct equipment checks and enforce pool operating procedures.
- Oversee cleanliness, security and resource‑conservation initiatives.
- Support management with improvement plans and energy‑saving projects.
Required profile
- Positive, customer‑focused attitude with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Experience in supervising a team and managing day‑to‑day operations.
- Commitment to health, safety and hygiene standards.
