Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager will lead front‑of‑house operations at a high‑end visitor attraction in Ashford, ensuring smooth daily running and exceptional guest experiences. This full‑time temporary position requires a proactive, organised individual who can thrive in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead front‑of‑house activities and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Supervise and support Cellar Door Hosts and other support staff.
• Act as the primary point of contact for visitors, handling enquiries and feedback.
• Coordinate tours, tastings and events to ensure seamless delivery.
• Maintain accurate records, stock levels and operational processes.
• Assist wider teams with event execution, reporting and coordination.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar hospitality, events or customer‑facing role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident team manager capable of delivering high service standards.
• Proactive, team‑focused and able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Interest in wine or hospitality (WSET qualifications desirable but not essential).
