Dynamics 365 Developer (X++)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations developer with strong X++ expertise to join a leading global organisation. The role is hybrid, based in London, and initially runs for six months under an IR35 contract.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain customisations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Write high‑quality X++ code following Microsoft best practices.
• Build and support integrations between Dynamics 365 and third‑party applications.
• Create extensions, workflows, forms, reports and data entities.
• Participate in solution design workshops and technical architecture discussions.
• Perform code reviews and continuously improve development standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Support deployments through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and knowledge‑transfer material.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Strong hands‑on X++ development expertise.
• Experience with extensions, customisations and integrations in D365.
• Solid understanding of finance, supply‑chain or retail business processes.
• Experience working with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services (LCS) and the Data Management Framework.
• Familiarity with Data Entities, OData services and REST APIs.
• Ability to design and develop integrations with external systems.
• Strong debugging and performance‑optimisation skills.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.

What we offer

• Inside IR35 contract (PAYE) with a daily rate of £500‑£550.
• Hybrid working arrangement in London.
• Six‑month initial assignment with potential extension.
