Dyslexia Specialist GCSE English Tutor

About the role

New Chapter Tuition Ltd is seeking a dedicated Dyslexia Specialist GCSE English Tutor to work with a Year 14 learner who has a complex SEND profile. The role is school‑based in Lewisham and involves delivering personalised English tuition during school hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 5 hours of face‑to‑face GCSE English tuition each week.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with the learner’s EHCP outcomes.
• Support literacy development, written communication skills and GCSE exam preparation.
• Monitor progress, maintain concise session reports and communicate updates.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 5 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent teaching qualification).
• Proven experience teaching GCSE English.
• Strong experience supporting learners with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Autism.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK.
