EAL Co-ordinator – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role
Academics is seeking a self‑motivated and proactive EAL Co‑ordinator to join a secondary school in High Wycombe. The role involves leading the English as an Additional Language programme, supporting learners whose first language is not English, and contributing to a vibrant, inclusive school community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and evaluate EAL lessons and interventions for secondary‑school students.
- Coordinate the EAL curriculum across year groups and ensure alignment with national standards.
- Monitor progress of EAL learners and produce regular reports for teachers and senior leaders.
- Provide guidance and training to mainstream teachers on best practices for supporting EAL pupils.
- Participate in school events, assemblies and extracurricular activities to promote inclusivity.
