EAL Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑time, Term‑time)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant to support pupils with English as an additional language at a secondary school in North Manchester. The role starts in September and is full‑time on a term‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers to support classroom learning.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to students whose first language is Arabic.
- Assist in preparing teaching resources and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Required profile
- Fluency in Arabic (desirable but not essential).
- Hold a TEFL qualification.
- Previous experience in a UK school or working with young people is desirable.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training or willingness to complete it.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
- Two professional child‑related references.

What we offer
- Minimum pay rate of £110 per day (up to £115 per day).
