EAL Teaching Assistant – West London Secondary School

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic EAL Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in West London. This full‑time position offers recent graduates or aspiring teachers the chance to gain hands‑on classroom experience across Key Stages 3 and 4 while supporting English as an Additional Language learners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to EAL students (Levels 1‑3).
• Assist teachers across a range of subjects for Years 7‑11.
• Collaborate closely with the experienced EAL department to deliver tailored language support.
• Help prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of EAL learners.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the EAL programme.

Required profile

• Experience supporting young people in educational or youth‑based settings.
• Commitment to a full‑time role for the academic year.
• Genuine interest in education and language development.

Required skills

• Hold a TFEL, CELTA or TESOL qualification.
