About the role
We are looking for a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a welcoming primary school in Salford. The role starts in September 2026 and focuses on delivering high‑quality, play‑based learning for Nursery and Reception pupils within the EYFS framework.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based lessons for Nursery and Reception classes.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Assess and track pupil progress, reporting findings to senior staff and parents.
- Collaborate with the Early Years team to develop and share best practices.
- Participate in school-wide activities and contribute to the wider community.
Required profile
- Qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong interest in Early Years education.
- Understanding of the EYFS framework or willingness to develop this knowledge.
- Passionate about child‑centred learning and early development.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Team‑player who values collaboration and professional growth.
