About the role

The Lancashire Teaching Agency, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is offering Early Career Teachers (ECTs) a structured pool of teaching opportunities across schools in the Burnley area. This programme provides temporary teaching cover while supporting your professional development and pathway to permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom teaching and curriculum support in Lancashire schools as required.
• Participate in a tailored Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme linked to individual needs.
• Work closely with a personal consultant to plan career steps and secure long‑term supply or permanent roles.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and successfully complete a DBS check.

Required profile

• Early Career Teacher approaching the end of initial teacher training.
• Committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
• Willing to engage in CPD and career planning activities.
