About the role

The Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA) is offering Early Career Teachers (ECTs) a pool of temporary teaching opportunities across schools in the Lancaster area. This role provides a pathway to permanent or fixed‑term positions while you complete your training.

Key responsibilities

• Support schools with recruitment for permanent, fixed‑term and long‑term supply cover roles.
• Deliver a structured programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) tailored to individual needs.
• Provide job‑search assistance and career planning to help teachers transition into contractual employment.
• Act as a personal consultant to understand and meet each teacher’s employment requirements.

Required profile

• Early Career Teacher approaching the end of your training.
• Willingness to register with the Lancashire Teaching Agency.
• Ability to undergo a DBS check and commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
