Early Career Teacher (ECT) Positions – Primary Schools in Staines (Sept)

About the role
We are seeking final‑year teaching students to start their classroom journey as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) in a range of welcoming primary schools across Staines‑upon‑Thames. Roles are available from September and cover EYFS, KS1 and KS2, offering both short‑term and longer‑term placements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, pre‑planned lessons across assigned year groups.
- Maintain a positive, productive classroom environment and follow school behaviour policies.
- Mark work and provide feedback in line with school standards.
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality curriculum‑aligned lessons (long‑term roles).
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Participate in staff meetings, training and wider school activities.
Required profile
- Final‑year teaching student on track to achieve QTS.
- Genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
- Proactive, flexible and positive attitude.
