Early Career Teacher (ECT) Positions – Primary Schools in Woking

About the role

We are seeking final‑year teaching students to start their classroom journey as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) in a range of welcoming mainstream primary schools across Woking. Opportunities are available from September for short‑term, long‑term or permanent placements covering EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, pre‑planned lessons across various year groups.
• Maintain a positive, productive classroom environment and follow school behaviour policies.
• Mark work and provide feedback in line with school standards.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality curriculum‑aligned lessons.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Participate in staff meetings, training and wider school activities.

Required profile

• Final‑year teaching student on track to achieve QTS.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
• Proactive, flexible and positive attitude.
