Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary School Opportunities

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work across a range of primary schools in St. Helens and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible supply work, short‑term placements, long‑term assignments, or a permanent teaching post, allowing you to build confidence and experience in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere that supports all learners.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and positively.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Contribute to wider school activities and initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS by September 2026.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
• Positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• No prior teaching experience required beyond training placements.
