Early Career Teacher Pool – Clitheroe

About the role

The Lancashire Teaching Agency, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is creating an Early Career Teacher (ECT) Pool for qualified trainee teachers in the Clitheroe area. This temporary, full‑time programme offers placement opportunities in local schools while you complete your training.

Key responsibilities

• Provide teaching cover in Lancashire schools on a permanent, fixed‑term or long‑term supply basis.
• Engage in a structured Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with a personal consultant to plan career progression and secure contractual employment.
• Adhere to the Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and participate in the Teacher’s Pension scheme where applicable.

Required profile

• Currently completing teacher training and approaching the end of your programme.
• Willing to undergo a DBS check as part of safeguarding requirements.
• Motivated to develop teaching skills and pursue long‑term employment in education.
