About the role
The Lancashire Teaching Agency, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is creating an Early Career Teacher (ECT) pool for the Skelmersdale area. This service provides temporary teaching placements for trainee teachers who are close to completing their training and are seeking immediate employment opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Support schools in Lancashire with recruitment for permanent, fixed‑term and long‑term supply cover roles.
- Provide ECTs with employment opportunities that can lead to contractual positions.
- Assist schools in matching teacher availability with their staffing needs.
Required profile
- Currently undertaking teacher training and approaching the end of the programme.
- Willingness to work in schools across the Skelmersdale area.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to safeguarding standards.
