About the role
Join a high‑performing HR team as an Early Careers & Development Coordinator and help shape the next generation of legal talent. You will be responsible for delivering a seamless experience for trainees, apprentices and vacation‑scheme participants from recruitment through onboarding and development.
Key responsibilities
- Support the firm’s Early Careers strategy by attracting, recruiting and developing future legal talent.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns for trainee associates, solicitor apprentices and vacation‑scheme students, managing the process from attraction to offer and onboarding.
- Organise recruitment events, university outreach, networking opportunities and vacation‑scheme programmes.
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, diversity partners and internal stakeholders to strengthen the employer brand.
- Manage end‑to‑end onboarding, including compliance, right‑to‑work checks, visa coordination and law‑school registrations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for trainees, apprentices and future joiners, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
- Support trainee development programmes, including inductions, seat rotations, appraisals, SQE administration and qualification processes.
- Coordinate payroll, grants and expenses while maintaining accurate Early Careers records and reporting.
- Contribute to Early Careers marketing initiatives, including social‑media content and employer‑branding activities.
Required profile
- Ambitious Early Careers Assistant ready to step up, or an existing coordinator from a smaller law firm seeking broader experience.
- Willingness to learn, grow and develop within a leading US law firm.
- Strong teamwork orientation and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Effective communication with individuals at all levels.
