Early Careers Recruitment Manager (12‑month FTC)

About the role

Herbert Smith Freehills LLP is seeking an Early Careers Recruitment Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will lead the strategy and execution of graduate and solicitor apprenticeship recruitment, working closely with senior partners, the Head of Recruitment and HR teams across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Early Careers and Solicitor Apprenticeship recruitment strategy in partnership with EC Partners, Training Principal and HR stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business partners to define the firm’s vision, goals and messaging for graduate and apprenticeship recruitment.
• Create initiatives to attract high‑calibre talent and expand the firm’s pipeline of target students.
• Coordinate annual recruitment updates and align global requirements with UK graduate cohorts.
• Ensure consistent communication of the firm’s Employee Value Proposition through campus representatives and marketing channels.
• Manage academic liaison programmes and oversee the review of target universities and events strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing recruitment strategies for early‑career programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior partners, HR and business leaders.
• Ability to innovate and improve recruitment processes and messaging.
• Experience coordinating large‑scale recruitment events and university liaison activities.
