About the role
The Early Talent Assistant will support RPC's Early Talent team, which manages the full lifecycle of trainee solicitors, solicitor apprentices and summer interns across London and Bristol. This is a coordination and administration focused position that offers exposure to recruitment, onboarding and people development within a professional services environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in planning and delivering early talent attraction activities such as law fairs, internal and external events, virtual sessions and partner collaborations.
- Coordinate event logistics, including bookings, materials, travel arrangements, attendance lists and candidate communications.
- Support recruitment processes from application to offer, handling candidate queries, eligibility checks, trackers, system updates and routine administration.
- Manage assessment centre and interview logistics, including diary management, room bookings, assessor and candidate communications, assessment materials and reimbursements.
- Help organise work‑experience programmes, onboarding, screening, event logistics and candidate communications.
- Facilitate pre‑joining, onboarding and induction activities for future trainees and apprentices, covering paperwork, travel reimbursements and grant communications.
- Assist with trainee and apprentice lifecycle activities such as department rotations, international secondments, progress reviews and qualification processes.
- Coordinate trainee and apprentice events, forums and briefing sessions.
Required profile
- Highly organised and proactive with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Strong administrative abilities and comfort with tracking systems.
- Interest in supporting people at the start of their careers.
- Motivation to develop experience in recruitment, HR, early careers or people development within a professional services setting.
