Early Years Childcare Trainer Assessor (Trainee or Qualified)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Early Years Childcare Trainer Assessor to join our team on a permanent basis. The role is home‑based with regular travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, supporting apprentices and learners in the Early Years sector.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the full Early Years Childcare Apprenticeship Standards up to Level 5 and Functional Skills to Level 2.
• Manage a caseload of learners, arranging remote and face‑to‑face observations to collect evidence for apprenticeship assessments.
• Maintain accurate learner records, organise documentation and monitor progress against the End‑Point Assessment.
• Plan and conduct timely reviews, ensuring compliance with assessor KPIs for visits, paperwork quality and learner progression.
• Provide motivational support, advice and barrier‑removal strategies to help learners succeed.

Required profile

• Current or recent experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager with solid occupational competency in Early Years Childcare.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare.
• Strong organisational abilities and effective time‑management skills.
• Professional, confident communication style with the ability to inspire learners.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle; flexibility to travel as required.
