Early Years Educator – Nursery Team (Kennington)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator to join the nursery team at a primary school in Kennington, Southwark. This full‑time, contractor position offers the chance to work in a supportive environment with children aged 2‑4 years.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children aged 2‑4 in a safe, welcoming setting.
• Facilitate arts and crafts, outdoor play and group games.
• Promote social and emotional development through positive interaction.
• Ensure activities are inclusive and align with the school’s ethos and safeguarding policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and school staff about children’s progress.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
• Experience working with 2‑4‑year‑old children in a school or early years setting.
• Passion for supporting children’s development and well‑being.
• Positive, friendly and reliable attitude.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
