Early Years Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for further education providers across South East England. You will inspire learners preparing for careers in early years settings, helping them build solid knowledge of child development, safeguarding and best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Early Years lessons for a range of levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help learners achieve their goals.
• Create an inclusive, positive learning environment.
• Contribute to learner retention, achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Childhood Studies, Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Early Years in further, higher or adult education settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Subject‑specific knowledge of early years education, child development and safeguarding.
