Early Years Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Early Years Manager to lead a vibrant nursery environment where children from birth to pre‑school receive high‑quality education and care. You will work closely with staff, parents, and children to ensure a safe, welcoming and stimulating setting that supports each child’s development.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment that promotes children’s learning.
• Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the nursery, ensuring outstanding standards of care and education.
• Meet commercial and people‑focused objectives, keeping the nursery efficient and profitable.
• Lead and motivate the nursery team, handling conflict resolution and fostering professional development.
• Uphold minimum operating standards and inspire colleagues to deliver the best childcare.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
• At least two years of experience working in early years settings.
• Early years management experience is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted Early Education inspection framework.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications or an ICT qualification.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYFS guidelines.
• Understanding of Ofsted inspection requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
