Early Years Nursery Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Nursery Practitioners to support a variety of nursery settings across Bristol. In this role you will help create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. You will work flexibly across full‑time, part‑time, ad‑hoc and short‑term assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
• Support children’s learning through play and planned activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Observe, record and report on children’s development and achievements.
• Maintain safeguarding and welfare standards at all times.
• Promote a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
• Support children’s emotional, social and physical development.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Own transport and willingness to travel across Bristol and surrounding areas.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum 24 months’ referencing history.
• Paediatric First Aid certification.
