Early Years Practitioner – Outdoor Nursery Setting

About the role

Join a unique, nature‑focused nursery in the heart of Cheltenham as an Early Years Practitioner. You will support children aged 0‑5 to explore, learn and thrive through outdoor adventures while following the EYFS framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, nature‑based activities that promote curiosity, creativity and independence.
• Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children, families and professionals.
• Observe, assess and record each child’s development and achievements.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, encouraging appropriate risk‑taking outdoors.
• Assist with meals, personal care and daily routines, adapting support to each child’s needs.
• Collaborate with a friendly team and liaise with parents and external agencies when required.

Required profile

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (NVQ, CACHE or equivalent).
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework (training provided for newly qualified practitioners).
• Passion for outdoor learning and child development.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.
