Early Years Practitioner – Temporary Nursery Assistant

About the role
Quint Education is seeking qualified Early Years Practitioners for ongoing temporary positions in Godalming. You will support nursery teams in delivering a safe, clean and engaging environment for children aged from 6 months to reception age.
Key responsibilities
- Assist nursery staff in maintaining a safe, clean and happy setting.
- Work with three key age groups, delivering age‑appropriate activities.
- Support children during meals and snack times.
- Participate in daily routines and engage with children throughout the day.
- Report any incidents concerning child safety and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 (or higher) Childcare Qualification.
- Minimum 6 months experience working with children aged 0–4 years.
- Age 18 or over with a clean, valid DBS check.
- Five years of continuous references (2021‑2026) with explanations for any gaps.
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding procedures.
- Based locally in Surrey or willing to travel.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £13.25‑£16 depending on qualifications and experience.
- Flexible shift patterns from full‑day (8:00‑18:00) to shorter hours.
- Opportunities for occasional work during term‑time holidays for students.
