Early Years Reception Teacher – Wigan (Full‑time)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years (Reception) Teacher for a busy primary school in Wigan. The position starts in September and runs initially until December, with the possibility of extension. This full‑time, five‑day‑a‑week role offers the chance to work in a "Good" rated, oversubscribed school that values creativity and high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess and track children’s progress, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow staff to maintain high teaching standards.
• Participate in school events, parent communication, and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a valid teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching within the EYFS framework.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and, if applicable, overseas police checks.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Up‑to‑date CV covering the last ten years of employment.
