Early Years Reception Teaching Assistant (Full‑time, Temp)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Early Years/Reception Teaching Assistant to support a primary school classroom in Newham. The role is full‑time, temporary and runs from September 2026 until July 2027, covering the academic terms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering EYFS/Reception curriculum.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow school safeguarding policies and update records as required.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a UK Nursery or EYFS setting.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate with online update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
