Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant

About the role
Engage Education is seeking an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in the EYFS setting on a one‑to‑one basis. This full‑time, temporary position is based in a primary school within the LS11 postcode area and offers the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to a child with special educational needs (SEN) in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Implement tailored learning activities that stimulate and engage the pupil.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of the pupil’s development and share updates with teachers.
Required profile
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting.
- A genuine passion for education and improving pupil attainment.
- Creative approach to lesson planning and activity delivery.
- Relevant Level 2 qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 Teaching Assistant).
- Patient, nurturing attitude in the classroom.
