About the role
Join a primary school in Southport as an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant. You will work alongside the classroom teacher and two other assistants to support children with special educational needs as they begin their educational journey.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care and behaviour support for EY pupils.
- Carry out assessments to determine each child's starting level.
- Support learning and development plans in line with the Early Years framework.
- Collaborate closely with the teacher and fellow assistants to deliver a cohesive classroom experience.
Required profile
- Relevant TA qualification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Recent (within 2 years) experience working with SEND children.
- Familiarity with the Early Years framework is beneficial.
- Strong time‑management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
