Early Years Teaching Assistant – Flexible Nursery Roles

About the role
Academics is expanding its Early Years division across the Chiltern District and is looking for qualified Early Years professionals to support children in private nurseries, pre‑schools and other early learning settings. The role can be short‑term supply cover, a longer placement or a permanent position, offering flexibility to match your lifestyle.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development, learning and wellbeing of young children in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Assist qualified teachers in planning and delivering age‑appropriate activities.
- Maintain classroom hygiene and safety standards.
- Observe and record children’s progress and share insights with senior staff.
- Provide reliable cover for staff absences and short‑term assignments.
Required profile
- Qualified in Early Years (Level 2, Level 3 or equivalent).
- Passionate about early childhood development.
- Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.
- Comfortable working in nursery and pre‑school environments.
Required skills
- None specified beyond the Early Years qualifications.
