About the role
We are looking for a caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Tameside. This full‑time, long‑term position starts in September 2026 and supports children at the start of their learning journey within the EYFS framework.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, age‑appropriate learning activities.
- Promote children’s social and emotional development.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
- Support daily routines and classroom organisation.
Required profile
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
- Recent experience working in an Early Years setting.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
