Early Years Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Temp to Perm)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a primary school reception class in Blackpool. The role starts in September and will run for the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher in daily reception activities.
• Assist early‑year pupils with learning tasks and social development.
• Provide additional help for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and well‑organized classroom environment.
• Collaborate with staff to prepare resources and materials.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the school’s single‑form entry system.

Required profile

• Experience working with early years or nursery children is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to work with SEN pupils and support their individual needs.
• Legal right to work in the UK and ability to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
• Provide a CV covering the last ten years of employment, explaining any gaps.
