Early Years Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a primary school’s Pre‑School room in Manchester. Working full‑time, Monday to Friday, you will support children under three years old, helping them develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities that align with the EYFS curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for children to explore and learn.
• Assist with daily routines such as meals, personal care and outdoor play.
• Observe, assess and record children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and carers.
• Collaborate with early years and school staff to ensure a seamless learning experience.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with children under three within the EYFS framework.
• Passion for early childhood development and supporting key milestones.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with children, parents and colleagues.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good understanding of safeguarding practices.
