About the role

Are you passionate about working with young children and seeking a rewarding position in a primary school or nursery? As an Early Years Teaching Assistant you will work closely with the class teacher to support children through play‑based learning, helping them build confidence, communication and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting children across nursery or reception, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
• Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance where needed to reinforce learning.
• Facilitating learning through play and practical activities that develop skills.
• Encouraging communication, social skills and independence in daily interactions.
• Assisting with classroom organisation and routine tasks to maintain order.
• Building positive relationships with both children and staff members.
• Helping create an inclusive, stimulating learning setting for all pupils.

Required profile

• Patient, enthusiastic and confident when working with young children.
• Previous experience in a nursery, reception class, primary school or childcare setting is beneficial.
