Early Years Teaching Assistant – Stevenage

About the role

We are seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Stevenage. The role offers the chance to support young learners, develop practical classroom skills and work within a friendly, experienced team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality care, support and supervision to children in the early years setting.
• Assist teachers in delivering inspiring, development‑focused activities.
• Follow health and safety policies and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and accurate completion of relevant documentation.
• Record and regularly update children’s developmental progress.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about early years education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Accurate record‑keeping of children’s development.
• Awareness of safeguarding procedures.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
