Economics & Business Teacher (Secondary)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Economics and Business Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will inspire Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, helping them develop a solid understanding of economics, business principles, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Economics and Business Studies to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 pupils.
• Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that challenge and motivate learners.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and support extracurricular business‑related activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching Economics and/or Business Studies at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Commitment to raising student achievement and supporting personal development.
