Economics Teacher – Full-Time Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role involves delivering Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages, fostering a love of learning and high achievement among students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Business Studies and Economics lessons for secondary pupils.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and learning.
• Monitor, assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support or challenge.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Develop high‑quality resources aligned with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.
• Utilise a range of teaching strategies and educational technology to enhance engagement.
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum development and best practice.
• Participate in meetings, parents’ evenings, training sessions and extracurricular activities.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student welfare at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching Business Studies in a secondary school or further education setting.
• Ability or experience to teach Economics is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate young people.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and professional conduct.
