About the role
The Education Officer will lead public education activities at Belfast Zoo, supporting its mission in wildlife conservation, breeding programmes and scientific research.
Key responsibilities
- Report to the Zoo Operations Manager and take responsibility for public education related to the zoo’s conservation work.
- Collaborate with the Zoo Operations Manager to develop an annual programme of education initiatives.
- Deliver education programmes on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Promote the zoo’s role in wildlife conservation, breeding programmes and scientific study to visitors and the wider community.
Required profile
- Full‑time position based at Belfast Zoo.
- Reports directly to the Zoo Operations Manager.
