Education Officer – Public Education at Belfast Zoo

About the role

The Education Officer will lead public education activities at Belfast Zoo, supporting its mission in wildlife conservation, breeding programmes and scientific research.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Zoo Operations Manager and take responsibility for public education related to the zoo’s conservation work.
• Collaborate with the Zoo Operations Manager to develop an annual programme of education initiatives.
• Deliver education programmes on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
• Promote the zoo’s role in wildlife conservation, breeding programmes and scientific study to visitors and the wider community.

Required profile

• Full‑time position based at Belfast Zoo.
• Reports directly to the Zoo Operations Manager.
