Education Recruitment Consultant

About the role

Academics is seeking a motivated Recruitment Consultant to lead our Secondary Education desk in Berkhamsted. You will work with secondary schools to place teachers and support staff on both temporary and permanent contracts, helping schools fill critical vacancies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with secondary school clients.
• Source, screen and present qualified teaching and support candidates.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from brief to placement.
• Collaborate with the compliance and resourcing team to ensure candidates are cleared for work.
• Achieve placement targets and contribute to the desk’s revenue goals.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in any recruitment sector.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivated, driven and eager to develop expertise in the education market.
