Education Solicitor

About the role

We are looking for an Education Solicitor to join our specialist Education Law team. The role involves advising and representing teachers, students, parents and educational institutions on a wide range of legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload covering primary and secondary school admissions, exclusions, independent school disputes, SEN/EHCP advice, and university student issues.
• Conduct case preparation, hearings and negotiations in line with firm policies and cost‑effective practices.
• Maintain accurate time‑recording and utilise the firm’s IT systems for case management.
• Contribute to business development and promote the firm’s education law services.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in education legislation and regulatory guidance.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in education law.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex, multi‑stakeholder cases.
• Strong analytical and client‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Case management and legal research.
• Effective client communication.
• Proficiency with time‑recording and case management software.
