Education Solicitor Partner

About the role

This is a senior partnership opportunity for a commercially‑minded solicitor with a passion for the education sector. You will join a nationally recognised practice and help shape its strategic direction while delivering high‑value advice to independent schools and education groups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic and corporate matters for education clients, focusing on independent schools and education groups.
• Advise on acquisitions, disposals, mergers, reorganisations, collaborations and other strategic projects.
• Provide corporate restructuring and transformation advice to charities and education organisations.
• Collaborate with employment, property, regulatory and dispute resolution teams to deliver seamless service.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the practice.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, supporting their development.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience as an education solicitor.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at Partner or Legal Director level, or clear readiness for partnership.
• Interest or experience advising education, charity or not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Proven track record of leading complex transactions and managing sophisticated client relationships.
• Strong business‑development mindset with confidence to generate new opportunities.
